The Rescuer's Creed.

I promise i will take your unwanted animals.

I will heal their wounds, their diseases, their broken bones.

I will give them medical attention they need and deserve.

I will nurture them, vaccinate them against the diseases that can harm them.

I will treat them and honor them.

I will buy them toys, blankets, balls, and teach them to play.

I will speak softly to them and love them.

I will try to teach them not to fear, not to cry, and not to hate.

I will whisper sweet, kind, gentle words into their ears, while gently trying to stroke their fear, their pain, and their scars away.

I will face their emotional scars and give them time to overcome them.

I will socialize them, potty train them, teach them to be obedient.

I will show them dignity, and hold their paws, and stroke their ears if they have endure too much and walk with them to Rainbow Bridge.

But most of all I WILL TEACH THEM LOVE.

We have been doing rescue for ten years. We started to noticed that the gentle giants were being put down because of their size. Most aniamls shelters, and human societies do not have the space to kennel these wonderful marshmellow. Their were so many small breeds rescues, that we decided to switch to the giants.  We try to give these wonderful dogs the best life they could have. We try to match the right dogs with the right family. We hope to have a happy ever after for all.

Our first Saint
Erma Jean.  We stumbled onto her, she was at a shelter on the fair grounds along the Ohio River. She was 14 months and weighed in at 78lbs, She had scabbies and stunk super bad.
She had been locked in a pen her whole life. She lived off her prey instinct. They had a bowl for her, when it would rain and fill that is how she was watered. The sad part is the dog warden had to wait until she was in such a state because of the bad animal laws in ohio. We took her home on the hotest day in july. Everyone had their head out a window because of how bad she smelled...  One year later after that july day she was 209lbs and a love bug. But sadly she could not over come her prey instinct. When she thought the man was prey we had to have her put down. The sad part is man did this to her.

DO not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain

When you wake in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night. I am the first star of the night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry...
I am not there. I did not die.

What do you want?!
